Here is my answer Max!

Shaken
By:Eric Walters

In English we have started LitCircleGroups which is when a group of people get together and read sections of books, then discuss them together. Our class and a class in Oshawa are doing Digital Lit Circles, the difference is that we are going to post questions on our blogs and then the people in our group have to answer them in full sentences, by doing so we are expressing our opinions and then we discuss each other's answers. Today is the first discussion meeting on the first section of the book we are reading(Shaken by: Eric Walters). We read from page 1-44. Max is one of the kids that is in our group and lives in Oshawa. He has posted a question asking: If Joshua never met Naomi and she didn't come on the trip, how do you think Joshua would like the trip? Explain your answer. Well I will answer your very good question Max.

I think that Josh would be very bored, not having Naomi. Naomi is there as a sort of a thing that will keep him occupied. Josh seems like the kind of person who gets bored very easily. If he never met Naomi I think that I would not like the book very much, this is because I have a prediction that Josh and Naomi will get very attached to each other and what is a good book if it does not have some romance in it? It seems that Naomi really likes Josh, Josh does not necessarily dislike Naomi, but would rather be alone. If Naomi didn't go on the trip I would think that half the book would most likely be very boring. It will be very interesting with Naomi, considering her personality. If I could ask Eric Walters 2 questions about the book they would probably be: Why put Naomi in the book? And why give her the personality she has in the book?

This is my answer and I hope it satisfies you Max and my other Shaken readers.

Your awesome blogger,

Hi max awesome question. I think if he hadn't met Naomi, he wouldnt have had anyone to talk to. Which would make him very bored. I also think his way to haiti wouldn't have changed because half the time she was asleep. But over all like josh said it would be good to have a friend on the trip when you barely have any. And I think personaly she seems kind of like a know it all. When he's just trying to calm her down by laughing. But the trip probably would have been the same, cause like I said she was asleep for the most part. But the begging of the trip wouldnt have been the same without her.

Hello Max and other shaken readers.
So I have my answer for the questin that was asked.
(By the way Max realy nice simple question).

The question is :If Joshua never met Naomi and she didn't come on the trip, how do you think Joshua would like the trip?

I think that Joshua would have been very bored because he probably would have had to sit with he's sister.

I think it's good that Mr.walters put the charecter Naiomi in the book because I think there's gonna be some romance in the book.

Also it's good for Joshua bec-
ause in the book it says that Joshua and he's family move alot and therefore Joshua can't make friends.Which means he's ussaly with his sister so this is good for him it's a chance to practice making friends.

That is my answer max thanks you did a good job :)
Tyler I like your answer.
Can't wait to read the rest of the answers:)

Hey Shaken readers,

There are some good responses here. Make sure that you are carefully proofreading your comments before posting them in order to ensure that they are easy to read and understand.

Ensure that you read your group members posts carefully and take the discussion deeper based on their answers. Instead of just saying that you like their answers, ask a further question, seek clarification or comment on an individual point (adding more evidence, agreeing or disagreeing respectfully).

I agree with Tyler and Jumanh because If Josh didn't meet Naomi he would be loney and would have to spend time with his sister that is very afraid of being where she is. But Josh is lucky that he found her. Now he doesn't have to sit with his sister and he can have more fin with a person his age.

You all did a very good job on your posts.

Thanks for all your feed back everyone. I believe is Naomi was never on the trip then Joshua would be fairly bored on this trip. I think this becasue at one moment in the book Josh was thinking to himself that Naomi was the only person there that he didn't mind. I also believe that Joshua and Naomi will become good friends or maybe even more. We will see what happens when we start to read further into the book.
