Reading Response Questions A: Due Feb. 9, 2011

• Copy down a quote from a character and explain why you think it's meaningful. What does it suggest about this character's personality? Personal qualities? Etc. Explain your thinking. "She looked nervous, which made me feel sad. I didn't want to make anyone nervous." I thought that represented him being thoughtful and caring because shortly after that he asked her what seat she wanted, "window, or aisle?" Josh clearly wanted  Naomi to feel safe, and not nervous any more.

• Do the characters seem real and believable? Can you relate to their predicaments? To what extent do they remind you of yourself or someone you know?

• What were your feelings and first impressions after reading the opening chapters of this book? Explain.     I found it really irritating how every single page it had repeated things which were really alike.
